Indianola Residence
A new construction on the Indianola waterfront, this 2,000 square foot, two-story New England shingle-style beach house is orientated to take advantage of the gorgeous Puget Sound and Mount Rainier views. A continuous view of the water is maintained by the main floor’s open plan between the kitchen, living and dining rooms. Forecasting for her future needs, our single client wanted the master bedroom on the main floor, which along with the dining room and entry, enjoy vaulted ceilings.

As a small site with significant county restraints, this project presented numerous design challenges. A habitat management plan and a high-tech septic system resolved the county’s concerns. Furthermore, we met the challenge to magnify the open feel of waterfront living despite the limited physical space.
